I started things with a bang this year. Not only did I turn 40 on January 5th, but we also had a health crisis in the family I've been dealing with. I explain more about this on my Patreon, so please go there if you want to know more. Rest assured everyone is alive and well, but it did put a strain on my time and energy in the beginning of the year.
It didn't put a stopper in anything though, the wheels are already turning and y'all know, what's in motion stays in motion so here we go... Showcasing at the Montana MPAC At the end of this month, the lovely Kat Bula and I are headed to Montana. (I know, Montana in January, sounds cold, right?) The amazing MPAC (Montana Performance Arts Consortium) is happening in Great Falls, MT and we have been chosen to showcase! We are very excited and I'm sure there will be lots of insights to share on this trip. Keep following us on social media to see how it unfolds. Recording in Nashville I'm headed to Nashville again in February to record at my favorite studio Beaird Music Group. I recorded Catch Me If You Can there in 2016 and I am looking forward to laying down these new songs. I have many other plans while in Nashville including... Opening for my hero A few years ago I was lucky enough to meet with my songwriting hero, Gary Burr and he gave me feedback on my songs. This time, I'm lucky enough to get to open for him and his amazing wife Georgia Middleman at a house concert in Franklin, TN. Check my tour schedule for more info. If you want to know why he's my hero, again, go to Patreon. I will be telling my story of how he inspired me to become a songwriter. I'm excited to share this journey with you and I can't wait to bring more music into the world! 2019 here I come!
